Have you ever thought that social media could actually improve a medical service?

Well, we made it happen for Clínicas Sanas. They have been offering care for Guatemalans for 10 years now. The multidisciplinary service is what makes Clínicas Sanas a pioneer company. One of the most valuable goals for them is prevention and continual attention of the patients. Another valuable feature is the compromise they have to improve their services’ strategy with the human warmth people deserve. They are constantly trying to give a better service and options to provide health and prevention.

There is a general perception about the health cost in Guatemala. Most of the population doubts seeking medical assistance because of what they think they will pay for it. The challenge Clínicas Sanas is able to undergo, is to provide the service people need at a reasonable cost. Does that mean that people don’t value their health like they should? No. The average Guatemalan earns about Q2,643 per month. This amount is the minimum wage. With this amount of money they need to pay bills and to provide for the family. This may not be enough for them to spend in medical attention. But in spite of that reality, Clínicas Sanas is able to provide integral care to millions of Guatemalas per year due to their low costs and high quality service.

¨What makes everything worth it for us is to see people recover and to help them prevent future illnesses. The history that keeps repeating itself is the patient that comes to Clíncias Sanas for the first time. He/She gets the attention needed and goes home happy. Then, family members and friends that saw such a positive experience approach us when they need to see a doctor. So what keeps happening is that the people can see the reality of how the price and the actual service do not match. The attention is high quality but the price is low. Doesn’t matter the background, everyone gets the same service here.¨ 

To make sure we were integrating Clínicas Sanas’ products and services throughout all of their channels, we redesigned the website by implementing an easy to use but yet delightful interaction. We wanted to achieve a new experience for the customers. Here all of the information is easy to find on every screen, from computers, tablets, and cellphones. The layout was designed to accommodate every aspect of our audiences’ lives. As easy as tapping on the screen, you can make an appointment while researching Clinicas Sanas’ specialties in the website. The interface created is what makes this website a success. People can easily understand and access the actions within.

We Little Pi understand how important it is to share through the Clínicas Sanas’ social media platforms the diversity that they have and the integral care available. Can you imagine having all the doctors you’ll need in one place? That sounds amazing! We developed social media content based on their mission, prevention. Prevention for each aspect that involves health. They are using tips and recommendations to educate the customers through their social media.

Before hiring us Little Pi Studio Clínicas Sanas tried to create a communication channel to share important information with their audience, but experience how complex is to combine functionally information with visuals. 

¨ The content that was used was not original but extracted from internet sources.  We were not showing the reality of most of our customers but fantasy visuals. People were not connecting with our content, maybe because they were not able to relate. Once Little Pi stepped in everything changed. They develop original content with authentic people and information.

People started to sense the real us and all the professional team we have.¨

Then 2020 came with unexpected things. But even though a new virus came to change the normal, common illnesses were still happening. Clínicas Sanas needed to keep working hard to provide the multidisciplinary service they promised. Communication was key to undergo so many chances we had to face as a country. With the same goal in mind, we created content to strengthen the community. Clínicas Sanas was making sure people knew that they were working nonstop to make sure everyone got attention from medical professionals.

To stop the virus from spreading more and more, everyone had to make an effort to stay at home. Clínicas Sanas faced a challenge in the communication’s aspect. Our strategy was to make the social media platforms a channel to improve the process of appointments and to share important information.

In March, when everything changed here in Guatemala, Clíncias Sanas received 16 messages that month. With our content created to improve communication and the appointments procedure using social media, in July they received 32 messages. This means that in 3 months they got a growth of 100% with the messages received in their accounts. Those messages ended in appointments and services purchased.

¨ Little Pi provided content which made people interact with us in social media. We saw how each month there was more engagement so we implemented the online appointments to complete our mission to improve the execution of our services.¨

We designed the visual posts and content to confirm the fact that Clínicas Sanas was still providing medical attention despite the COVID-19. Within the post we highlighted each area of their medical team with the same message, everyone no matter their situation can get high-quality medical attention from professional doctors. People from all over Guatemala City go to Clínicas Sanas because they know that they will get what they deserve. They keep improving the process to make sure everyone is safe during this pandemic which came to our lives to change our routines. But Clínicas Sanas used that situation to improve and keep growing as a big company that cares for its country.
